Loch MuickSituated on the Balmoral Estate, Loch Muick is located 8 miles south west of Ballater, a short 40 minute drive from Banchory. The loch is found at the foot of Lochnagar, which is one of the finest mountains in Scotland and while you walk around the two mile long stretch of freshwater you are bound to see wild grouse and deer. The Glas-allt Shiel house, built by Queen Victoria, can also be seen up close as it stands impressively on the banks of the Loch.
